How I got here
My career didn't start with a master's degree in finance, but with vocational administrative training and hands-on work.
Starting at Zilveren Kruis contact center, then Intrum collections, followed by credit management at increasingly complex organizations.
Each step forced me to understand deeper: How does it work around here, why do things go wrong, how do you fix them structurally, and how do I enable teams to manage independently?
That approach - understand, fix, transfer - became my methodology.
What I've accomplished
Apollo Tyres (2020-2024): €900M+ revenue across 10 countries. Reduced DSO by 25%, structured €80M+ factoring facility, transformed management reporting to accelerate month-end close by 2 days.
Implemented commercial control system calculating profitability per customer. Led SAP S/4HANA re-implementation after failed initial attempt. During COVID, established weekly cash flow forecasting that provided liquidity insight under extreme uncertainty.
Spaces (2018-2019): Standardized 200+ global locations for IWG sale. Prepared ERP implementation under deal deadlines. Established management and board reporting that didn't exist. Finance transformation from decentralized chaos to controllable operation.
Newomij (2012-2017): €1Bln+ real estate portfolio. Management reporting: not 40 pages of numbers, but the three things requiring attention. Guided ERP migration from Unit4 to Exact.
Result in every engagement: Faster insight, better decisions, teams that can continue independently.
How I work
Week 1-2: Understand the situation. Gather data, talk to people, identify bottlenecks.
Week 3-4: Implement quick wins that deliver immediate value.
Month 2-3: Larger adjustments - redesign processes, configure systems, establish frameworks.
Month 3+: Secure and transfer. Documentation, training, ensuring it keeps working.
Technically versatile
ERP systems: SAP (FI/CO, S/4HANA), Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Exact, AFAS, Visma, Unit4 FIS2000, Twinfield, Onguard, AS400. Not just using them - understanding how they work, how modules interact, where implementations fail and how to prevent that.
BI & Data: Power BI (incl. DAX), Power Query, Power Pivot, Tableau, Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, machine learning for predictive modeling. From dashboard building to writing forecasting algorithms.
Process improvement: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. n8n and Power Automate for workflow automation. API integrations between systems that don't communicate by default.
This breadth is my strength: I understand how technology works, not just how to operate it. This means I'm quickly operational in any system, and I see where automation adds value. This website? I built it myself - with some AI assistance, but the structure, content and setup are my work.
What you get
Someone who can set up operational processes and think strategically at board level. Who understands how finance works in multinationals (Apollo, Spaces) and SME/non-profit (Humanitas, Newomij). Who is technically strong but remains pragmatic.
Not a consultant who writes a report. Someone who comes in, tackles it, and ensures your team can handle it afterwards.
I work 32 hours - effectiveness over hours. Available for interim engagements of 3-12 months.
